Daniel founded MMD to apply enterprise-level FM thinking to the sector that needs it most — schools and community organisations that carry the same responsibilities as large estates but have never had the professional support to match.
As Engineering Manager at the University of Surrey, Daniel managed a directly employed maintenance team of up to 30 personnel, held a £2 million operational budget, ran CAFM systems, oversaw PPM and reactive works and managed statutory compliance across a major university estate. This operational background — understanding what it takes to run a building properly from the inside — informs everything MMD delivers.
As Director of IVR Electrical, Daniel led complex electrical contracting projects for clients including Microsoft, Booking.com, Hitachi, the UK Supreme Court and multiple educational establishments. As Critical FM Operations Manager at JLL, he operated within a data centre and critical FM environment, managing PPMs, directly employed operatives and specialist contractor networks to the highest standards of building reliability.
Daniel's City and Guilds 2391 qualification means he can independently inspect, test and certify electrical installations — a capability most FM consultants do not possess, and one that brings a different quality of electrical oversight to every client engagement.
