Compliance-as-a-Service
End-to-end statutory compliance management so your organisation is always inspection-ready and legally protected.
The weight of statutory compliance — carried by one person
Every school and charity managing its own building carries a significant statutory compliance burden. Miss a deadline and you face enforcement action, fines, or — far worse — a preventable accident. Most organisations have no dedicated compliance function. That responsibility falls to a headteacher, operations manager or business manager who is already carrying a full-time job.

This is what compliance actually looks like
That's dozens of individual obligations, multiple contractors to coordinate, documentation to maintain and deadlines to track — across every area of your building. Without a system, things get missed. And when things get missed, organisations face enforcement action, invalidated insurance, failed Ofsted inspections, and in the worst cases, real harm to the people in the building. MMD Compliance-as-a-Service takes all of this off your plate permanently.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if we miss a compliance deadline?
With MMD managing your compliance calendar, you should never be in a position where you miss a deadline — but if something slips, that's exactly what MMD is there for. We track every obligation proactively and give you advance notice well before anything is due. If a contractor lets you down or a certificate is delayed, we chase it and document the situation. You have a clear audit trail showing you acted reasonably. That matters enormously if you ever face an inspection or enforcement inquiry.
Who coordinates the contractors?
On the Standard and Premium tiers, MMD coordinates all your compliance contractors directly. That means arranging visits, confirming access with your site team, chasing documentation afterwards and checking that reports meet the required standard. On the Essential tier, MMD tracks deadlines and tells you what needs to be booked — you make the call. If you want MMD to handle everything from the first phone call to filing the certificate, Standard or Premium is the right fit.
What documentation do we receive?
Every certificate, report and inspection record is stored securely in your document library — accessible to you at any time. You receive a compliance register showing the status of every obligation, a calendar of upcoming dates and, on Standard and Premium, a quarterly or regular governor report. Everything is labelled clearly and organised so that if an inspector, your insurance provider or a new member of the senior leadership team needs to see something, it is ready immediately. No more searching through filing cabinets or email inboxes.
Can we start with just the audit?
Absolutely. The Compliance Audit is a standalone service — there is no obligation to proceed to a subscription. Many organisations find the audit report is enough to give them a clear picture, which they then use to put their own arrangements in place. If you do decide to move forward with a subscription within 30 days of receiving your report, the full audit fee is credited against your first three months. The report itself belongs to you either way.
How does the governor report work?
On the Standard tier, MMD produces a compliance report for governors or trustees every quarter. On Premium, a member of the MMD team can attend board or governor meetings in person to present the compliance position and answer questions directly. The report is written specifically for a non-technical audience — it shows what is compliant, what is in progress, any actions being taken and the overall risk position. Governors have a legal duty to ensure their organisation meets its statutory obligations, and this report gives them the evidence they need to discharge that duty confidently.
